Today, Ducati launched its new 2019 Scrambler range in India. The fresh 2019 Scrambler range includes 4 bikes – The Icon, Desert Sled, Cafe Racer and Full Throttle, which are priced in the range of INR 7.89 lakh – 9.93 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The bookings for the Ducati Scrambler range are now open across all Ducati dealerships in India and the deliveries are expected to commence by the end of May this year.

What’s new?
In terms of upgrades, the refreshed Scrambler range is equipped with a lot of new and updated features, such as new LED DRLs, an updated digital instrument console with a new fuel gauge and a gear position indicator and much more. All the new motorcycles in this range get new seats, which have better cushioning, padding and use new breathable materials. The bikes are also equipped with modern features, such as a new hydraulic clutch with adjustable lever, LED turn indicators, a Ducati Multimedia system and a Bosch cornering ABS as standard.

Design
Individually, the Ducati Icon gets a retro-styled design, with a bright coloured tank and round headlights, while the Ducati Full Throttle gets a similar design, but gets a single-seat option and looks race ready. The Ducati Cafe Racer gets an aggressive riding stance, with lowered handlebars which give the bike a blend of both, a classic and sporty design. It even gets the ‘54’ racing number on the side panels. The Cafe Racer and Desert Sled are completely different in design, but they both get fully-spoked wheels. The Desert Sled, however, is the sportiest of them all as it gets a tall front fender, long-travel suspension, an engine bash plate and a headlamp mesh guard. All these features add up to make this bike the most expensive in Ducati’s Scrambler range.

Engine and Performance
In terms of power and performance, the 2019 Ducati Scrambler range share the same 803cc, L-Twin, air-cooled engine that produces 73 HP and 67 Nm of peak torque. All these bikes also share the same 6-speed gearbox. Ducati has also made slight changes to the 2019 Scrambler Icon to make it more comfortable for the riders. Ducati achieved this feat by improving the suspension set-up and making it softer, along with adding a new seat shape.
