Kawasaki recently launched the all-new Ninja 400 in the Indian market at INR 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom.)With the launch of the new Ninja 400, Kawasaki dealers are trying to clear the existing inventory of the the Ninja 300. Mumbai based ANZEN Kawasaki is offering a INR 60,000 cash discount on the Ninja 300 and the motorcycle is now available at INR 3.83 lakh (on-road) instead of INR 4.43 lakh (on-road). The offer is valid till stock lasts. Buyers can pay INR 56,700 as the down-payment and pay rest of the money at INR 8,960 per month for 48 months.
Mechanically, the Ninja 300 draws power from a 296cc 4-stroke, 2-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 39 bhp at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 10,000 rpm.
In comparison, the new Ninja 400, which retails for INR 5.37 lakh (on-road), gets a 399 cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin engine. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 49 PS at 10,000 rpm while the peak torque of 38 Nm comes up at 8,000 rpm. This motor is paired to a six speed transmission. The Ninja 400 also features dual LED headlight, ZX-10R inspired LED tail lamp, LCD panel for the instrument cluster and ABS as standard.
