DC Design has quietly revealed the Avanti 310 Limited Edition, an exclusive, more powerful and eviller looking version of the original. To be available from April 2016, this limited edition, India made sports car will cost INR 44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi); INR 9 lakh more than the regular Avanti.
Limited to just 31 units, the Avanti 310 will feature a host of embellishments on the outside, which include a two-piece front splitter, sill extensions and a rear diffuser; all crafted in carbon-fiber. The fairly exotic material is also used on the new rear spoiler, which. Other exterior highlights on the Avanti 310 are the LED headlamps and tail lamps, along with new , forged alloy wheels. A choice of dual tone paint-jobs are also on the offing in the following combinations – Grey with Green, White with Blue and Matte Grey with Orange. Inside, the Avanti 310 features Alcantara leather sport seats, a leather wrapped steering steering wheel, and a TFT instrument display with sport gauges. Air-bags still aren’t an option.
The Avanti 310 is continued to powered by the same, Renault sourced, 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine, but, as the suffix in the name suggests, it has now been retuned to produce a healthier 310 bhp; 60 horses more than stock. What’s more, the Avanti 310 sits 20 mm lower than original, and even features stiffer anti-roll bars. While the 6-speed manual transmission is retained, the Avanti 310 will also offer an optional, 6-speed automated transmission (AMT) with steering mounted paddle shifters. It’s interesting to note that the AMT has been developed in-house.
