Aftermarket tuners will keep us surprising with their new add-ons. But this news piece is more of a shocker (in a good way) than a surprise. When a Mercedes comes with an AMG tag, many of us consider that the vehicle has got the utmost power that the engine can churn out.
But mcchip-dkr custom tuning company thinks otherwise. The company took the naturally aspirated, V8 powered Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG that made 457 HP of power and 600 Nm of torque and re-tuned it to make more power. How much more?
After re-equipment by compressor technology, made by the mcchip-dkr, this German machine makes a whopping 830 HP. Yes, that’s about double the numbers which the AMG model makes. Mcchip-dkr managed to do so by adding a bigger oil cooler, XXL water cooler (special edition for the compressor cooling system) and the bigger water pump for the charge air system. Additionally, a made by Drexler differential lock warrants for proper traction values.
In order to fit the design of the sportster to its performance, the mcchip-dkr crew has chosen a body kit of the corresponding special model of Black Series, involving the bumpers in front and rear, the car bonnet, all wings and side skirts and – made of carbon – flaps, side mirrors, front splitters and the rear diffusor, front and rear lamps coming from the W204-Facelift model.
This custom model sports the OZ-Racing Superleggera 19-inch rims and are fitted by adequate tires. But all this power would require some really potent braking capability. Doing the job are high performance brake discs with endless pads.
And just in case something goes wrong, the engine and passenger compartment are equipped by a lifeline fire extinction installation.
