Kawasaki has extended its product portfolio with the addition of two new variants of its middle-weight cruiser motorcycle, the Vulcan. Tagged as the Vulcan S Cafe and Vulcan SE Special Edition, these two new motorcycles have been cosmetically upgraded for 2016 while the technical specifications remain identical to the Vulcan S. This modern cruiser is equipped with Kawasaki’s customizable ERGO-FIT concept for adjustable riding positions to suit a rider’s requirements.
The new Vulcan S ABS Café will receive a new tinted wind deflector and a three tone custom paint scheme along with a signature tank badge. Vulcan S ABS SE, on the other hand, will feature a special two-tone paint finish. The new models will come equipped with adjustable forward-positioned footpegs, a low seat height along with optional seats and handlebar.
The new Vulcan motorcycles receive a sportbike-derived chassis and suspension which is aimed at providing light and responsive handling for easy maneuverability. The motorcycle is also said to be lightweight and responsive for easy handling.
Both new models would continue to draw power from the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine from the Kawasaki Ninja 650 but with a tweaked engine for more low and mid-range torque. The 649cc engine is tuned to deliver 62.8 Nm of torque and will come mated to a 6-speed transmission.
