Ever considered driving your car from India to Bangkok? No, we are not talking about you having to fly your car to Thailand in order to use their road network. Come 2016, and you can drive all the way to Bangkok. This will be courtesy the road that will connect Assam to Thailand. The first phase of this project consists of connecting Assam to Thailand border. This road will run thru Rangoon and Mandalay in Myanmar. This project is slated to be completed by 2016. This Trilateral land route aims to connect India to the South China Sea via Vietnam. This route aims to attract more trade relations between India and South East Asian countries. Ultimately, the road will enable economic growth in the North Eastern region of the country.
