As per a recent report that has surfaced on the web world, the DS line up of vehicles from Citroen is slated to expand and will get a hatchback and a large sedan in near future. Also, there is a fair possibility that a crossover will also be added to the carmaker’s DS range of models. These models will make their debut in China but will also be launched in several international markets soon after.

Speaking to renowned publication What Car, Citroen’s Eric Apode said “In 2014, we will launch the SUV – it will be a worldwide car but launched first in China.” He went on to add, “In 2015, we will launch a new DS hatchback, which will be a global car as well.”

On being asked to divulge more details on the DS hatchback, Eric Apode confirmed that the upcoming DS model will be positioned below the DS4 and will be similar in dimensions to popular models such as Volkswagen Golf and Peugeot 308.

Soon after the launch of the Citroen DS hatchback, the famous car maker will also come up with a large sedan that will find itself becoming the flagship model in the DS line up. The car will be positioned between the BMW 3 Series and 5 Series in terms of pricing. It is being said that the upcoming Citroen DS flagship will measure 4800mm in length and will be a direct rival to the BMW 3 Series LWB that is on sale in China.

The upcoming DS Crossover will be positioned between the Audi Q3 and Q5 in terms of pricing.
