Now, even the least clued in would know that Audi has been a traditional rival of both BMW and Mercedes and hence, it doesn’t come across as slightest of a surprise to see the four-ringed brand attacking their rivals in the latest promotional videos for the new A3 Sedan.
The latest video clip wants you to believe that people drive a BMW 3-Series and Mercedes CLA due to “peer pressure, friends and unsolicited e-mails.“
The clip then shows how people have been waiting for the A3 Sedan to be launched, in the United States, in April. The US-spec A3 Sedan will cost 29,900 USD and will come feature laden with a panoramic sunroof, infotainment system, a plethora of safety aids and a six-speed S tronic transmission.
The new Audi A3 sedan has a typical Audi styling and looks much like a slightly smaller Audi A4. The A3 sedan has a 2.64m long wheelbase and has an overall length of 4.46m and width of 1.8m. The A3 sedan weighs 1250kgs and has a 425 litres boot.
The A3 sedan will go on sale in US with three engine options-
- A 2.0 litres TDI diesel engine that has a max power output of 150bhp and a peak torque figure of 320Nm
- A 1.8 litres TFSI petrol engine that produces 180bhp of max power and 250Nm of peak torque
- A 2.0 litres TFSI petrol engine will power the S3 performance variant. This engine has a max power of 300bhp and this motor will enable the car to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds
