Citroen C3 Aircross: Starting at Rs 9.99 Lakh: Bookings Open

Citroen has unveiled the C3 Aircross midsize SUV, with prices for the base ‘You’ variant starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, India). While the complete price list will be disclosed later, dealers have received indicative prices for the top two trims.

Bookings for the C3 Aircross are open, requiring a token amount of Rs 25,000. Deliveries are scheduled to commence from October 15.

Citroen C3 Aircross Variant Options: You, Plus, and Max

The C3 Aircross will be available in three variants – You, Plus, and Max.

Although only the base variant’s price has been officially announced, dealers have shared indicative prices for the Plus and Max trims. The Plus variant is anticipated to range between Rs 11.30 lakh to 11.45 lakh, while the top-spec Max trim may fall between Rs 11.95 lakh to 12.10 lakh. Which will be significantly lower than its rivals.

Moreover, a 7-seat configuration option for the Plus and Max trims will be offered for an extra Rs 35,000. Dual-tone paint and the Vibe pack, exclusive to these trims, will be available for Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.

The base ‘You’ variant features a 5-seat configuration and lacks certain amenities found in higher trims, like roof-mounted AC vents, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, speakers, reverse camera, rear wiper, rear defogger, and USB chargers. However, it retains most safety features from the top-spec Max trim, including two airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS, and reverse parking sensors.

Competitive Landscape

The C3 Aircross faces stiff competition in its segment, contending with entry-level models of popular SUVs including Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and the recently launched Honda Elevate.

Notable Features and Powertrain Of The Citroen C3 Aircross

The C3 Aircross boasts a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a reverse camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 110hp, 190Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

In conclusion, the Citroen C3 Aircross offers an enticing package in the midsize SUV segment, with competitive pricing and an array of features. As it enters the market, it’s poised to make a strong statement against its rivals.
