The Chevrolet Trailblazer Premier concept is how the face-lifted version of the brutish SUV will look like, when undone with those Florida-spec 22-inch rims we’re guessing. The rather bland nose of the current car has been glamorised with sharper headlamps, along a new dual port grille rocking classier chrome trim inserts. The front bumper is also new, and along with the new face, make the Trailblazer more urbane to look at – which was the point of this exercise all along. Other new bits include a rear spoiler, rear fascia protector and integrated side steps with bright chrome molding. The new silvery blue exterior finish is called Velocity.
Inside, the dashboard design has shifted to become more contemporary and plush. Gone is 70’s telephone dial from the centre console, and in comes more modern rotary knobs. There’s strategic application of chrome, plusher trim inserts and finer materials. The dashboard and door trims now feature hand-picked and crafted Australian timber. Then there are two-tone instrument panel inserts with detailed stitching. The leather seat covers get bespoke piping, while there’s handmade netting on the back of the driver/front passenger seats.
