Seen in the images here is a Chevrolet Beat facelift test mule which has been spotted testing on Baroda-Ahmedabad expressway. As is the case with most spy pics that we come across, the quality of these photographs isn’t anything to write home about. However, the images do serve their purpose, that of letting us know that the Chevrolet Beat facelift is very much headed our way.

It may be noted that the Beat was launched in India way back in January 2010, with only a petrol engine. The diesel variant came next year and the small hatchback has been considerably successful in our market. However, thanks to the advent of more modern and more feature-laden rivals, the very tasty looking Beat has suddenly started looking a wee bit dated and hence, it is no surprise that GM India intends to soon launch the Beat facelift in our country.

The Beat facelift that will be soon launched in India was first launched in Europe last year and the car sports a new front bumper, a new front grille and new foglamps. The car could also get a new set of alloy wheels, an upholstery change, a revised centre console and some added features.

Mechanically, the car will remain unchanged. This means that the car will continue to come with a 1.2 litre petrol engine and a 0.9 litre diesel engine option

We expect that the Chevrolet Beat facelift would make its Indian debut at the 2014 India Auto Expo in February next year.
