Regulars here would remember that we reported in detail when Aston Martin unveiled the new Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept.

The new CC100 Speedster recapitulates the car maker’s racing heritage along with providing a glimpse of the style of future Aston Martin models.

The car was unveiled at a special ceremony at Nurburgring today and rather than just being showcased off the track and on a stage, the car burned some rubber on the holy Nordschleife in the hands of Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez. The car was driven on the ‘ring during the ADAC Zurich 24 Hours of Nurburgring race. The car also took to the ‘Green Hell’ along with the car it derives its inspiration from- the race-winning 1959 DBR1 which was piloted by none other than Sir Stirling Moss.

Powering the new CC100 is a 6.0-liter V12 engine that is mated to a sequential gearbox. The car’s body is made of carbon fibre and the lightweight car can dismiss 96kmph from standstill in four seconds. The car has a top whack of 180 mph.

Here, we have a video of the CC100 that gives us an idea of how the concept car’s engine sounds like. Orgasmic, is not it?
