American car maker Chevrolet has launched the 2014 Agile facelift in Brazil.
The updated Chevrolet Agile 2014 looks a tad more pleasant than the outgoing model and comes with a new bumpers, a new grille and comprehensively revised headlights and taillights. Unfortunately, the black inserts prevail as Chevrolet feels they “bring a sense of security and robustness to the customer.”
While the car gets no dramatic changes made to its exteriors, it does get some comprehensive updates for its interiors. On the inside, the car boasts of a new steering wheel and now boasts of better quality of materials, all of which help in projecting the car as a more premium offering.
Powering the Chevrolet Agile 2014 facelift is a 1.4-litre Econo.Flex four-cylinder petrol engine that can also run on both petrol and ethanol. This engine develops a max power of 97 HP (71 kW) and peak torque of 129 Nm (95 lb-ft) when running on petrol. The engine can help the car accelerate from zero to 100kmph in a respectable 11.5 seconds and hit a top whack of 172 km/h (107 mph). However, on Ethanol, the engine delivers a max power output of 102 HP (75 kW) and a peak torque of 132 Nm (97 lb-ft). The extra juice enables the car to accelerate from zero to 100kmph in 10.9 seconds and have higher top speed of 177 km/h (110 mph).
The updated Chevrolet Agile 2014 has gone on sale in Brazil for a starting price of $40,320 real.
