The latest gen Hyundai Verna made its public debut back in April 2010 and has been on sale since more than three years now. While the current Verna, which features Hyundai’s Fluidic design language, looks appealing and very modern, it surely is high time for a mid-career facelift.
Hyundai does realize this and is in the process of bestowing the sedan with some substantial updates. The Hyundai Verna facelift was recently spotted testing in China, where it is likely to be launched first. The test mule was spotted by Auto 163 and the heavy camouflage suggests that the car could get some comprehensive updates to all its sides.
Mechanically, the 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift is most likely to remain the same. This means that the car would continue to be powered by 1.6 litre VTVT petrol engine, 1.4-liter VTVT petrol engine, 1.6 litre VGT diesel engine and 1.4 litre CRDI diesel engine. The 1.6 litre engines can be had with either a six speed manual or a four speed automatic gearbox.
