That the boffins at Tata Motors have been busy with bestowing the Vista hatchback with a comprehensive update is a well known fact. The car has been spotted testing on numerous occasions and yet another set of spy pics of the 2014 Tata Vista have surfaced on the web world. It seems like these pics have been taken in Chinchwad (Pune), nothing surprising considering that Pune and surrounding areas have always been the test bed for Tata vehicles.
Regulars here would know that we have always felt that for the upcoming Vita 2014, Tata has decided to ditch the tradition XMas-Tree taillight layout and has instead opted for a more conventional design. These spy pics here prove it that we were exactly spot on with our prediction. Other than a set of of new taillamps, the 2014 Tata Vista will sport a completely revised tailgate, a new set of bumpers, a new set of headlights and a revised front grille. Unlike the current car, the 2014 Vista will have its rear registration plate positioned on the tailgate (the current model’s real plate can be found on the bumper).
Mechanically, the upcoming Vista is expected to be powered by the same set of engines that do duty on the current model. This means that the Vista facelift would get the Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter MultiJet diesel engine (which will be offered in two states of tune- 75PS and 90PS), a 71 PS 1.4 litre TDI diesel engine and a 65 PS 1.2-litre petrol engine.
We are expecting the 2014 Tata Vista to greet us at the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo in February next year.
