Car Sales November 2016 : Nissan India registers 52% growth

Demonetisation has affected vehicle sales but Nissan Motor India registered positive numbers. The car maker reported domestic sales of 3,975 vehicles in November 2016 versus 2,617 units sold in the same month a year ago. The manufacturer registered a 52% growth despite the liquidity crunch in the market.

Commenting on the sales results, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said that despite the impact of the liquidity crunch on the current demand for cars, Nissan India posted a healthy growth of 52 per cent in November with the continued solid performance of the Datsun redi-GO.

Malhotra further added that the Company is helping its customers by promoting cashless payment options such as use of cheques, debit/credit cards, eWallets and other cashless services when they visit dealerships.

Nissan Motor India also expanded its product portfolio with the addition the GT-R. The new GT-R has been priced at INR 1.99 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
