BMW to adopt Apple-inspired “Genius Bar” across dealerships

BMW Apple Genius Bar

German car-maker BMW is set to adopt the Apple-inspired “Genius Bar Setup” across all it’s dealerships by early next year. Termed as the “BMW Genius Program”, the new initiative would first start rolling with Europe and later to the US Markets.

The program aims to educate the iPad equipped sales personnel at dealerships on resolving technical queries posed by customers rather than pushing for a sales effort. BMW also plans to develop and offer iPhone and iPad apps to owners running synopsis and features of their vehicles. In addition, BMW would be offering a one-touch support feature in all its future cars through a “BMW Assist” call button which would enable owners to interact with BMW’s support services in real time.

BMW sales have been on a roll with last month recording its highest group sales ever and the Bavarian car giant looks to further reinforce its stature in the luxury car market.
