BMW India will be launching the updated 6 Series Gran Coupe on May 29th. Compared to the outgoing model, the new 6 Series Gran Coupe features a new BMW kidney grille design as well as new front and rear aprons. BMW has also kitted the car with full LED headlights which are available as standard and not optional. Furthermore, customers can order the car with BMW’s Adaptive LED headlights that feature BMW’s Selective Beam technology.
The 6 Series Gran Coupe will go on sale with two engine configurations, six-cylinder inline or V8 with BMW’s Twin Power Turbo technology. Powering the BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe is a 4.4 liter petrol V8 mill that dishes out 450 PS and 650 Nm of torque. The 640i xDrive Gran Coupe gets a 3 liter inline six pot petrol motor that cranks out 320 PS and 450 Nm of twist. Similar to the outgoing model, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will also be available with a diesel variant in the form of the 640d xDrive that produces 313 PS and 630 Nm. The petrol engined models will come with sports exhaust systems as standard. The exhaust has switchable flaps that enhance the sound.
The Gran Coupe model will also be equipped with the latest generation of BMW’s Head Up Display (HUD). BMW also offers its Connected Drive navigation system as standard. A dual color scheme for the interior will be available as an option along with a range of 20 inch alloy wheels.
