Ahead of the debut of the seventh generation 3-Series that is scheduled to take place later this year, BMW has launched a special edition of the model in India, known as the 3-Series Shadow Edition. Set to be a limited edition model, the 3-Series Shadow Edition will be available in both, the petrol and diesel guise.
While the BMW 3-Series Shadow Edition petrol variant (330i M Sport) has been priced at INR 47.30 lakh, the diesel variant (320d Sport) is priced at INR 41.40 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, pan India). Both the model receives changes to the interior and the exterior while the engine specifications remain unchanged.

For the exterior, the BMW 3-Series Shadow Edition features smoked out headlamps and tail lights, gloss black finish for the signature kidney grille, 18 inch wheels and black chrome exhaust tips. Inside, the model comes equipped with an 8.7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.5 inch digital instrument cluster, sportier red and black upholstery for the seat, 205W music system and a reverse camera with parking sensors. The variable sport steering system is available exclusively with the petrol variant.
The engine specifications, as we mentioned earlier, remain unchanged and hence the BMW 3-Series Shadow Edition continues to source power from a 2.0-litre petrol engine or a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The former is capable of producing 252hp and 350 Nm of torque while the latter produces 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque. These engines are paired to an eight speed automatic transmission as standard.
