The exterior design and styling of the new gen Chevrolet Cruze takes many hints from that of the Tru concept and the new car boasts of an aerodynamic front fascia with a “dual-mesh” grille and sweptback headlights. Other noteworthy design elements are a rakish windscreen, chrome plated trim and shorter overhangs. Chevrolet says that the new design language that the new Cruze features has the slogan of “Design with a Heartbeat.”
The new Chevrolet Cruze will be available in China with two engine options- a turbocharged 1.4 liter engine and a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter unit. Both these motors will be available with several transmission options such as- a six speed manual, a six speed automated manual and an all-new seven speed DCG dual-clutch transmission. Chevrolet says that these new powertrain options will bestow the new model with best-in-class fuel economy, which would be around 14-21 percent more than that of the outgoing model.
Not much more is currently known about the new model but what we do know of is that the new Chevrolet Cruze rides on a new platform and the new car aims to set new benchmarks for “fuel economy, handling and intelligent technology” in its segment.
