Harley-Davidson is synonymous to cruiser motorcycles but the American cruiser manufacturer’s stand at the 2016 Bangkok Motor Show surprised the visitors with a new adventure concept. Christened as the Street 750 Stealth Adventure Concept, this concept motorcycle has been designed by Richy Wilson, a dealer principal of Harley Davidson dealership in Thailand. Thus this concept would be one-off and we may not see any such motorcycle coming out from the Milwaukee factory in Wisconsin.
The concept, as the name suggests, features a stealthy paint job accompanied by a rugged design that is aimed at adventure motorcycling. The body panels are completely re-designed with the addition of new units carved out of light-weight material.
The Street 750 Stealth Adventure Concept features new set of hardware to tackle the paths beyond the tarmac. The list of features include Ohlins MotoCross suspension at the front and mono shock suspension, instead of the conventional unit, at the rear along with 21 inch wheel upfront and 18 inches wheel at the rear, both featuring spoke design and wrapped in Dunlop motocross knobby tyres. The handlebar too has been replaced by a flatter unit.
The handcrafted aluminium fuel tank gets a centre mounted aircraft style fuel cap instead of the asymmetrically placed unit on the standard Street 750. Other handcrafted bits include the fenders and swing arm – both made from aluminium – along with three handmade luggage panniers.
Illumination duties are performed by LED daymaker headlights which are cocooned behind a protective grille while the rear is jeweled by a custom made dual exhaust placed right under the pillion seat. The motorcycle, as you would have already guessed, is based on Harley Davidson’s Street 750 and thus draws power from the same two-pot motor that powers the cruiser. Performance numbers were not disclosed at the motoring event.
