Bajaj to sell more Kawasaki bikes in India!

The Kawasaki Ninja 250R better known as the quarter liter Kwacker is presently doing good numbers in the Indian market with a gradual but positive rate of increase in sales. With this, Bajaj with its collaboration with the Japanese bike maker, Kawasaki has planned to bring the high end bikes from its stable on to the Indian streets. Up till now, Bajaj Probiking has managed to sell about 500 units of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and the number seems to be increasing in a faster rate. “We are keen to have more assembled products after looking at the response for the Ninja 250R,” said a company executive.

The Indian and Japanese firms will bring more bikes to India amongst which, a few will be assembled in the country itself where as the latter few will be imported as CBU later this year. There are speculations that the 600cc Ninja would be the next bike in the list to hit the Bajaj Probiking showrooms. “We intend to launch more bikes from the Kawasaki stable later in the year,” said Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto.

The Ninja 250R has redefined performance biking in the country with its top class quality performance. The bike has managed to bear the title of one of the best 250cc bikes in the world and it is a privilege to have such a bike in our country where most international high performance bikes are pushed away due to import policies. The Ninja 250R has a waiting period of about 3 months which the firm is planning to cut down to almost half. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and wait for these multi cylinder Kawasakis to hit the Indian roads. Stay tuned for more.
