For 2016, Suzuki Motorcycles India updated its Gixxer 155 and Gixxer SF 150cc motorcycles. Both motorcycles get a rear disc while the SF variant benefits from fuel injection. The motorcycles were unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Gixxer SF – Fi gets fuel edge injection technology, which is aimed to monitors and adjusts the air to fuel ratio to maintain optimal combustion conditions while delivering better fuel economy. The fuel injection variant is available only in the Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition.

Suzuki has remained tight-lipped about the mechanical details of the Gixxer SF – Fi. The carburetor equipped Gixxer SF, with its 154.9cc 4 -stroke, single-cylinder, air cooled engine, delivers 14.8 PS of power and 14Nm of torque. With the addition of fuel injection, the numbers are expected to improve although not by a great margin. Another addition to the package is the rear disc brake which is expected to improve the stopping power.

The Gixxer 155, on the other hand, is exactly the same motorcycle that is on sale currently, it now gets rear disc brakes across all variants. The naked version misses on fuel injection and Suzuki does not have any plans to add that piece of equipment on the Gixxer 155 any time soon. The Gixxer also gets new two new dual-tone colours – Lush Green / Glass Sparkle. The Gixxer 155 continues to use the 154.9cc 4 -stroke, single-cylinder, air cooled engine that delivers 14.8 PS of power and 14Nm of torque.
