We have been bringing you an extensive coverage of the ongoing Auto Expo 2014.
Now, in an official release sent to us, the organizers of the ongoing motor show have notified us that Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Mr. Praful Patel has called for greater cooperation between the auto industry and the Government to help revive the sector.
“There has been a temporary roadblock in the growth of the automobile industry during the last year and the ever-growing industry witnessed reversal of trend. It is important that the Government takes the right measures and gives incentives and energy stimulus to achieve a turnaround,” said Mr. Patel.
The speech was made during the inaugural ceremony of this year’s Auto Expo and Mr. Praful Patel also inaugurated the first ever Electric Mobility Pavilion at the Auto Expo. The pavilion displays various concepts of Hybrid Automobiles, and will hold sessions educating visitors about the nuances of Electric Technology along with a practical experience of driving electric cars and two wheelers giving consumers a first-hand experience of the vehicles.
This pavilion will be positioned to showcase hybrid/ electric technology and vehicles from various vehicle and component manufacturers with the objective to demonstrate the level of industry’s readiness as a prelude to the roll out of NEMMP schemes.
