Audi Q5 facelift coming to us by year end

We, at Motoroids, have always liked Audis. While the 3 pointed stars are biased towards spoiling the occupants silly with the luxury, the BMWs have always been what they claim to be, “The Ultimate Driving Machines”. Bang in the middle of these two fall the Audi. Offering the amalgam of luxury and sportiness, Audi cars have always had a lot going for them.

As we have been reporting lately, the 3 pointed stars and Bimmers are busy getting updated to become more dominant in the Indian market. The new X3 is doing good numbers and is an obvious threat to the Audi Q5. So, it makes quite a sense for the third of the German trio to come up with an updated version of the Q5 SUV.

While the exteriors get some botox injected in to it, the powerplants too have been updated. The base model, the 2.0 TDI, gets additional 4 bhp, the 3.0 V6 TDI gets 1 bhp and 8 kgm more and the 2.0 TFSI gets some changes in valve control mechanism, thermal management, new exhaust manifold and new injection system for an additional 10 bhp.

The refresh gets a slightly tweaked fascia, and new tail lamp units on the back. On the inside, the car gets new and more premium upholstery.

The revised Q5 will be launched at Paris Motor Show and we expect the car to come to us by the end of this year.
