Audi India celebrated Women’s day by putting the ladies in the driver’s seat. Audi Power Drive, organized exclusively for woman drivers in New Delhi and Bengaluru, gave women auto enthusiasts a flavor of the cars with the four ringed emblem. The models offered for the drive included the Audi Q3, Q5, Q7 SUVs and the A3, A4 and A6 sedans. In addition, the performance oriented Audi S6 and the stylish TT were also offered to be sampled.
While the super desirable R8 made an appearance at the event, it wasn’t made available for a drive. Women drivers were given a chance to get photographed with the sports car though.
Audi certified instructors were available for help and assistance throughout the drive. Women driving the Audi Q range tested the off-roading capabilities of the SUV range on custom designed rugged terrains. Women driving the Audi A range experienced the cars’ luxurious interior and comfortable drive. Laps were given to fans on the performance cars and women with the fastest lap time were rewarded.
Audi has been celebrating women’s day for the last four years. The first such drive for women auto enthusiasts was organized in Delhi and Mumbai in 2012.
“Audi is the undisputed No.1 luxury car brand in India therefore there is a growing demand for our cars amongst auto enthusiasts, men and women alike. I am especially proud and excited about the ‘Audi Women’s Power Drive’, as it gives our women fans an exclusive opportunity to experience the delight, convenience and thrill of our products.” said Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India.
