Audi is certainly among those manufacturers who take their motorsports division pretty seriously and the VW Group owned German premium and luxury car maker has won quite a few accolades in the world of car racing. From Quattro and rallying to having a great show in the Le Mans, the boffins at the motorsports division of Audi have surely been doing a great job in bringing in laurels to the German manufacturer.
Audi has now decided to unveil the new specially themed A1 at the Worthersee GTI meeting this year. This A1 sports R18 competition kit.
The competition kit, however, doesn’t boost the performance of the vehicle. What it instead does is to boost the aesthetic appeal of the car by adding a rear spoiler, red and grey accents across the car’s body and new design alloy rims.
On the inside, the car gets unique branded floor mats and interior trim bits in the red/grey color combo.
Sadly, more power, a sportier suspension and a short shifter would be sorely missed by performance car aficionados like us.
