Asia’s biggest road safety and parking solution expo Intertraffic to be held in Greater Noida from October 3

More than 120 companies with expertise on traffic safety, Intelligent Transport System (ITS), traffic management development, road infrastructure, Safety and parking from world over will showcase their products and technologies at the three day Intertraffic-India exhibition to be held in India Expo Centre in Greater Noida from October 3, 2013. It will be inaugurated by Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Oscar Fernandes.

Traffic Safety Expo ‘Intertraffic’ being jointly organized by the International Road Federation (IRF) and Amsterdam RAI for the second time in the country along with the 8th IRF Regional Conference on “Road Infrastructure for Safe mobility”will feature the latest and most innovative road safety solutions from both local and international exhibitors. The aim of the event is to improve understanding among key players and stakeholders of how the latest technological advancements and best practices can assist in accident reduction and encourage more responsible attitudes to road usage that will lead to a safer driving environment” said Mr K.K.Kapila, Chairman, International Road Federation (IRF) .

About 500 road safety experts from across the world will take part in the three day global conference and expo will showcase and discuss all capabilities of advanced technologies and road traffic regulation using technological devices, control systems, communication and navigation devices, driver training systems, and will give a complete idea of the modern road safety industry and its development prospects. The ‘expo’ will also help to promote high-end technologies and modern road traffic safety devices, traffic control systems and facilities as well as driver and passengers’ safety systems for the purpose of reducing the number of accidents and death rate due to road traffic accidents in the country” said Mr Kapila .

Ïndia has the highest number of Fatal road accidents 1.42 lakh in the world . India accounts for 10 per cent of the total road accidents in the World. This Expo and seminar will address critical issues of safter roads, better engineering of roads. It will also discuss Problems of safe road engineering on highways including Yamuna Expressway“said Mr Kapila

About 120 companies from 20 countries including Austria, US, Germany, UK France, Canada, China, Norway, Russia, Sweden and many others will take part in the exhibition, in addition to those from India. The major highlight will be display of the latest state of the art parking technologies as parking is becoming a major problem in the entire country, especially in metro cities. Four major automatic parking technology system companies are taking part in the exhibition.

The latest road safety technologies that will be displayed during the exhibition will include Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Access Control, Barriers, Vehicle Detection, Speed Cameras, License Plate Recognition, Vehicle Classification, Fibre Optics, Road Signs, Highway Infrastructure, latest parking technologies, Paving & Footway, Junction Control Systems, Road Building, Road Marking & Equipment, Street Lighting, Accident, Pollution, Traffic Simulation, Parking, Pay & Display, Traffic Management, Display Systems, Traffic Monitoring, and Traffic Control Signalling.
