Indian Road Safety Campaign, in collaboration with Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, is conducting the First Ever Road Safety Marathon in India. The “Annual Safe Road Half Marathon 2018” will flag-off from JLN Stadium on March 18, 2018. The main purpose of the Marathon is to make people aware about road safety, and to reduce the number of accidents and deaths.
This Marathon will be a part of the iSAFE; an inter-college competition organised by IRSC, IIT Delhi in collaboration with MoRTH and DTP across India with the vision to make roads safer for all.
The Marathon would begin and end at the JLN Stadium and would cover a route across some of the busiest locations of New Delhi, promoting the cause to over 50 lakh people during the course. Prizes worth INR 1.5 lakh will be distributed to the winners. Marathon would be having the presence the various dignitaries from Ministry and is expected to witness participation of 4000-5,000 people.
