The all-new Compass, reportedly based on Jeep’s Small-Wide platform, will be the American brand’s most affordable product in India, with estimated ex-showroom prices ranging from INR 25-35 lakhs. Upon launch, it’ll take on the likes of the all-new Toyota Fortuner, due in November 2016, and the new Ford Endeavour. With styling inspired by the bigger Grand Cherokee, a range of power-trains including FCA’s Multijet 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and AWD, along with a host of safety and technology offerings, the Compass will aim to shake up its segment in India.

  1. Wow.. what a product from Fiat. It will be a game changer. Now I understand why did they make Grand Cherokee abusmaly pricy. It creates a niche, premium apeal and then use the apeal to gain volunes of Compass.
