All New EX Variants of Astor Introduced by MG

MG introduces the new EX variants for its Astor trim Which are ₹ 6,000 – 12,000 cheaper than the non-EX variants. The new trains include Style EX, Super EX, Smart EX and Sharp EX. The EX variants will only have the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with the manual gearbox.

With a decreased price these EX variants of Astor come with fewer features compared to the non-EX variants, the missing tech includes some active safety features like ESP, traction control, hill start and hill descent control. While Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are deleted from the Sharp EX variant. Other safeties like the number of airbags are still intact in all Astor trims. Although other features are the same. EX variants of Style, Super and Smart are available at ₹ 6,000 less than their non-EX counterparts. While the price decrease for Sharp EX is ₹ 12,000. With that, the Astor now comes at a starting price of ₹ 10.22 lakh (ex-showroom, India). 

Other features of Astor include auto headlamps, tilt steering, cruise control, leather driver armrest storage, panoramic sunroof, engine start/stop button, rain-sensing wipers, rear AC vents, and rear seat armrest with cupholder and rear-seat middle headrest. Enhancing the style of Astor are the Full LED Hawkeye Headlamps, Rear Bumper with Chrome accentuated Dual Exhaust Design, Rear Spoiler, Satin Silver Finish Roof Rails in exterior, and 8.9cm Coloured Multi Info Display, Full Digital, Cluster with 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel,  Premium, Soft Touch Dashboard, Satin chrome in the interior.

The i-Smart technology of MG Astor comes with exciting features such as 35+ Hinglish Voice commands, Current & Forecast Weather information: Powered by Accuweather, Digital Key with Bluetooth, Inbuilt Jio Saavn App with a premium account for Music and podcasts, Interactive Emojis including, Multi-Language Navigation route, voice guidance: English and Hindi, Online Navigation with Live Traffic – Powered by Mapmyindia maps, Personal AI Assistant, Local and Global News: Powered by Bing News and many more.  After the introduction of lower variants of Skoda Kushaq and Slavia, and Hyundai’s Alcazar; MG also joined in by introducing cheaper variants of Astor to match the need of the time. The lower variants require fewer chips and that can be a solution to the current semiconductor crisis.
