All New 2013 Range Rover Sport in Pipeline

Only recently did Land Rover reveal the new Range Rover and now it has emerged that the Tata owned British SUV maker is working on the development of the Range Rover Sport.

The upcoming car is being tested at the Nurburgring and the new Range Rover Sport would be more involving to drive than the recently introduced Range Rover.

The Range Rover Sport would make use of a modified version of the lightweight aluminium platform that underpins the new Range Rover and Jaguar XJ.

Engine options for the upcoming Range Rover Sport will be– A 255hp-624Nm V6 turbodiesel engine, a 335hp-699Nm V8 twin-turbo oil burner and a 550hp-680Nm 5.0-liter V8 petrol motor. All these engines will be mated to an 8 speed auto ‘box.

A 330hp hybrid V6 oil burner is also on the cards. engine with 333 hp

As is obvious, the Range Rover Sport will look sharper and sportier than the new Range Rover. On the inside, the car will get faux carbon fibre bits and a Harmon Kardon In-Car Entertainment system.

The new Range Rover Sport will be unveiled in the first half of 2013.
