While Maruti is setting the stage for the launch of the new Alto, The pictures and details of this car have leaked. The production of this hatchback is also predicted to start soon while the launch is expected to be on the 18th of August. The Alto K10 comes with reframed exterior and a revised interior.

As per the leaked pictures, the exterior of the new Alto is clean and compact with a Celerio-inspired grille and tail lamp design. Although there is no sign of LED DRLs or lighting. While the side features 13-inch steel alloy wheels The 2022 Alto will measure 3,530 mm in length, 1,490 mm in width, and 1,520mm in height. The wheelbase of this hatchback is 2,380 mm. Comparatively, The 2022 Alto is around 85 mm longer, 45mm taller, and has a 20 mm longer wheelbase than the current Alto, but the width is still the same at 1490 mm. It has a gross weight of 1,150 kg.
The main update of the 2022 Alto is the redesigned interior and its improved tech Smartplay infotainment system which will get smartphone connectivity like android auto and apple car play. The cabin features a Digital instrument cluster, although the AC is manual and Manual ORVMs. there are no steering-mounted audio controls. There are a total of six colour options available for the 2022 Alto including White, Silver, Grey, Red, Blue, and Gold.
2022 Alto gets the power from a 1.0-liter K10C DualJet engine delivering 67 hp and 89 nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT and also gets idle start/stop for improved fuel efficiency. Alto will come with the 1.0-liter engine exclusively which is the reason behind its name Alto K10. The Alto K10 will be available in 12 variants including STD, LXI, VXI, and VXI+. Each of these variants will get an optional (O) variant as well with additional safety features. The automatic trim will be available in VXI and VXI+ variants in addition to their respective (O) variants as well.
