BMW is all set to launch the mid-life refresh of the 3 series Gran Turismo. The German luxury automobile manufacturer has now released images for the 2017 3 series GT prior to its impending launch. The model features a few subtle changes on the outside as well as the interior apart from receiving a new set of paintjobs. The engines also receive a few tweaks.
On the outside, the 3 series GT facelift, as compared to its predecessor, receives LED headlamps for both high and low beams, LED tail lamps, moderately re-designed bumpers on the front as well as the rear and three new wheel rim designs. Two more metallic paint finishes will also be added to the current paint shades while the shade of Estoril Blue will be limited to the M sport models.
Coming to the interiors, the 2017 3 series GT features chrome around the controls, wood elements, new colors and leather trims. Also seen is the new color LCD display for the HVAC system, fresh switchgear and an updated interface for the infotainment system. The upholstery and the trim strips also receive a few new options.

Powering the 2017 3 series GT would be three updated turbocharged petrol mills. These include the 2.0 L four cylinder engine in two states of tune, 181 hp and 246 hp as well as the 322 hp 3.0 litre six cylinder engine. The diesel variants include a new 224 hp 2.0 L four cylinder while the earlier engine comes in five states of tune ranging from 150 hp to 313 hp.
Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 6 speed manual transmission as standard on the 320i, 318d and 320d with the option of an 8 speed automatic gearbox while the rest of the variants will stand to receive the automatic transmission as standard.
