Japanese automobile manufacturer, Honda, is all set to introduce the ninth generation Accord Hybrid sedan in India soon. The company has announced that the new Accord Hybrid will be launched in the country on 25th October. This time though, the model will arrive via the CBU route and would only be available with a hybrid powertrain.

Cosmetic changes to the model include LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED fog lamps upfront. On either side, the new Accord hybrid will ride on 18 inch diamond cut alloy wheels while the posterior will feature LED tail lights and an integrated lip spoiler. On offer would be four colour options – Lunar Silver Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic.
Moving on to the interiors, the upcoming Accord Hybrid will come equipped with features such as two screens on the centre console, with the screen on top is a 7.7 inch Multi Information Display (MID), the one sitting below it is a 7 inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A new other notable features include cruise control, dual zone climate control, sun-roof, keyless entry and an engine start-stop button.
Powering the new 2016 Honda Accord Hybrid would be a 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol engine paired to an electric motor. While the former develops 145 hp and 175 Nm of torque, the latter is tuned to produce 184 hp and 315 Nm of torque. The combined power output of the model stands at 215 hp. Once launched, the new Honda Accord Hybrid will rival the Toyota Camry Hybrid. Expect the price tag to hover in the range of Rs. 30-40 lakh.
