Datsun Go Java All Star X Picker

2016 GIIAS: This radically customized Datsun GO is far from your regular Ola mini ride

At the ongoing 2016 Indonesia Auto Show (GIIAS), Datsun paraded three radically customized Datsun GO hatchbacks. These modifications were done to demonstrate how versatile the Go is when it comes to customizing its modest self, apart from showcasing the abilities of the Indonesian after-market industry. Out of the thee, one that stood out for the right reasons is the Go Java All Star X Pickers edition.

A mouthful of a name not withstanding, this edition is a retro-futuristic take on the Go. The humble Go’s lines are lost in the fashionable, airbrushed wood style accents on the sides, while a wide-body kit enhances the baby Datsun’s stance, which is now slammed on air suspension. The new stance is further aided by fatter, white-walled tires wrapping some period-style, single piece chrome wheels that do make a statement.

The retro-theme is reiterated with the round, chrome mirrors, along with the yellow tints on the headlamps and fog lamps. Oh, and there are brown tints on the windows and a Thule roof carrier thrown in for good measure. The interiors are back to the sixties again, with full, brown leather upholstery, a wooden steering, and period-style, re-upholstered seats, with the front ones missing their headrests for added appeal. It also gets Pioneer audio system, and something that looks like an old radio mounted on top of the dashboard.
