We have been closely following the developments associated with the upcoming 2015 Ford Endeavour. Regulars here would remember that we reported when a 2015 Endeavour test mule was recently spotted testing and now, yet another next generation Ford Endeavour aka Everest test mule has been spotted in testing. Very much like the last time, the test mule has been spotted wearing Ford Territory’s body shell. While a camouflage like this makes it very tough for us to guess what the upcoming Everest would look like, it does give a hint that the development of the next Endeavour/Everest is going on at a good pace.

However, seen here on these pages is a set of images from China that claims to reveal a bit of the next gen car.  It is being said that these pics are of an early prototype of the 2015 Ford Endeavour, draped in a coat of primer and digitally enhanced to get rid of the missing details. Codenamed as the U375, the next gen Endeavour will head to production sometime in early 2015, with China becoming the first market to get this vehicle. The SUV will be underpinned by a derivative of the Ranger pickup’s platform and will have a ladder frame construction. It is being said that the next gen Everest will have a shorter wheelbase than the Ranger. This should allow the car to have better intra city drivability and off-road credentials. In China, the new Endeavour will be manufactured by Jiangling-Ford JV and will be powered by a 3.5-liter ‘Puma’ diesel engine with 225hp of max power and 420Nm of peak torque.

The new Endeavour could be one of the eight new cars that Ford India intends to launch in the first half of this decade.
