We reported in detail when it emerged that Japanese auto giant Toyota is close to revealing the 2014 Toyota 4Runner. The refreshed Toyota SUV has now been unveiled at the 2013 Stagecoach Music Festival that is being held near Palm Springs, California.

The front fascia of the 2014 Toyota 4Runner sports redesigned headlamps, a revised front grill, a wide air dam and an air intake below each headlamp. The end result is that of a meaner stance.

In the profile, the car remains the same as the model it replaces. At the rear, the 4Runner comes with a revised bumper and clear lens tail lamps.

Talking about the interiors, the insides of the 2014 4Runnet get a new dashboard and new trims. The car comes with an updated multi-info display, revised Optritron gauges and an Entune infotainment system with an optional 7” touchscreen.

The SR5 and Limited variants get three rows of seats. The Limited variant also gets a leather option. The middle row of the vehicle has a 40:20:40 split and comes with a one touch walk-in function to allow easy access to the last row of seats.

The 2014 Toyota 4Runner SUV is being sold in three trim levels – SR5, Limited and Trail. The 4Runner can be bought in either 4×2 or 4×4 guise.

Powering the 2014 4Runner is a 4-litre V6 petrol engine that comes mated to a five speed ECT-I automatic transmission. The motor has a max power output of 270 bhp and a peak torque figure of 375 Nm. The 2014 4Runner has a fuel economy figure of 22mpg on highways.
