Regulars here would remember that we reported in detail when the first few pics of the 2014 Subaru WRX concept leaked on to the web world. Now, the car has made its public debut at the ongoing 2013 New York Motor Show and here we have more pics and details on the concept model of the next gen WRX sedan.
The WRX Concept looks very unlike the Impreza sedan and gets a sharp front end, coupe-like roofline, sleek headlights, stylish taillights and a low-placed grille. Safely expect those bulging fender to feature on the wide-body variant of the production spec car. Also expect the cooling vents placed near the front doors to make it to the production model. The new car rides on 20 inch BBS forged alloy wheels which wear especially developed Dunlop tires. The Subaru WRX Concept comes draped in a shade of WR Blue Pearl III and the car gets fluorescent yellow highlights on brake callipers, quad exhaust tips & on badges and we are already in love with that sharply styled boomerang LED taillamps.
Subaru hasn’t revealed any details on the interiors or the engine options. However, it is being said that the all new 2014 Subaru WRX Concept will soon get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder gasoline engine that will be good for at least 325 bhp of power. The car will also have an electrically powered turbo that will have a reduced spooling time and hence, lesser lag. This will definitely result into enhanced performance.
