The Mercedes CLA has to be one of the most awaited cars of recent times. The A Class based sedan is all set to become the most affordable sedan in Mercedes line up and will battle it out against the Audi A3.
While the CLA is essentially an A Class in a new body variant, the design hints more at the CLS, hence the baby CLS moniker.
Underpinning the Mercedes CLA Class sedan is the much publicized MFA platform and the car comes with a 208bhp 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The CLA is available with the Mercedes 4-MATIC all wheel drive system.
The CLA also becomes the world’s most aerodynamic car with a co-efficient of drag of just 0.23.
On the inside, the car gets high quality materials and features that have trickled down from larger Mercedes sedans. The interiors can be opted either in Anthracite or Walnut and get lot of aluminium bits.
The CLA is high on safety features with tech like DISTRONIC, Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist making it to entry level Mercedes sedan. The car also gets PARKTRONIC system which enables autonomous parallel and perpendicular parking
The 4-Matic variant comes loaded with SiriusXM satellite radio, Harman Kardon LOGIC 7 audio system, heated front seats, auto dimming mirrors, integrated garage door opener and dual-zone climate control.
