The 2014 Hyundai i10 continues to make more news! The upcoming hatchback from Hyundai, which has been codenamed as BA, could sit between the i10 and the i20 in our car market and the car might make it to us sometime around festival season this year. Now, a 2014 Hyundai i10, with MH-12 registration plates has been spotted in Pune. There are good chances that the car could be here for ARAI tests.
The new hatchback that the Korean auto giant Hyundai is readying could be found positioned between the i10 and the i20 in our car market instead of replacing the i10. In such a case, the car could be sold with the i15 moniker. It is also being said that the current i10, which is fast getting dated, would take the role of the Hyundai Santro Xing in Indian car market.
The BA aka next gen i10 aka i15 will be considerably larger than the current car, while sporting the plus points of the current gen model. The car will be sold with both petrol and diesel engine options and is likely to get a 1.1 Litre turbo diesel motor for the diesel variant. This engine will have a max power output of 75 Bhp of a peak torque figure of 150 Nm. The Hyundai BA is also expected to spawn a compact sedan in future. This sedan would sit beneath the India bound Hyundai HB20S based compact sedan and might throw open gates to an all new segment of small sedans.
