The Maruti Suzuki Gypsy that we have on sale in Indian car market is essentially the previous generation of the Suzuki Jimny SUV that is on sale in various international markets in its newest and third generation.
The third gen Suzuki Jimny recently got a minor facelift for the 2013 model year. The facelift model comes with a revised front fascia that sports a larger front bumper, revised front grill and new front fenders. Other changes include a bonnet scoop and new 15” alloy wheels in a graphite finish.
On the inside, the 2013 Suzuki Jimny facelift comes with new head restraints, an upholstery change and a new audio system with FM/AM, CD/MP3/ WMA, USB support and Bluetooth compatibility. The 2013 Suzuki Jimny will be sold in four trims- 4ALL, 4SUN, 4SPORT and 4WORK.
The 4ALL and the 4SUN get a panoramic sunroof among other features. The 4SPORT also gets enhanced offroad capability due to the higher angles of approach and departure. This variant also gets graphite finish for outside rear view mirrors and door handles. The list of features also includes a tow bar, a snorkel and roof racks. The 4WORK gets a lot of customization options.
The 2013 Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.3-litre, four cylinder petrol engine that has 85PS of power. The car is equipped with safety features like ABS, Airbags and collapsible steering column.
The entry level 4ALL goes on sale for a price of 55,990 Reals, the 4SUN for 59,990 Reals and the 4SPORT for 61,990 Reals.
why cant MARUTI replace gypsy with this???? i think they are sleeping…lol
