About the latest Off-roader by DC Design

The Swedish XC90 SUV is comprehensively transformed by the DC Design and it doesn’t resemble its original version at all. Upfront, this SUV gets a large and wide grille with integrated projector headlamps and LED DRLs in the lower section. The overall design of this SUV is muscular yet it is overdone.

Meanwhile, DC has upgraded the tyres of this SUV too. This SUV now sits on 21-inch rims with all-terrain tyres. Moving to the rear, the off-roader gets the massive flares onto the wheel arches. However, the SUV has a coupe-like shape in the rear profile with a wide taillight, fake exhaust tips and quirky bumpers.

The Striking Red Interior

The interior of the SUV has undergone a massive transformation with a vibrant red theme. While the car still accommodates 4-seats, the rear middle seat has been removed. In its place, two bucket seats have been installed, creating a more comfortable and luxurious seating arrangement.

One notable change is the fixed seatbelt system due to the absence of a B-Pillar and the presence of gullwing doors. Although the dashboard is not visible in the pictures, DC2 has installed ample ambient lighting throughout the vehicle. The overall interior design of this SUV depicts the designability of DC to design lounge cars.

Is it Road Legal?

It’s crucial to understand that any modifications done to any vehicle are considered illegal unless it is authorized by Regional Transport Office (RTO). This is especially true for structural alterations, as they can pose serious risks. To ensure the vehicle’s safety and roadworthiness, it must pass tests conducted by the Automotive Research Association of India.

Although we are unsure if the police requested the vehicle’s documentation. Yet, it’s important to mention that in many other parts of India, heavily modified vehicles would be impounded immediately. We do appreciate the effort and expertise involved in creating such a vehicle. However, it is important to exercise caution around extensively modified vehicles, particularly those with structural tweaks.
