Sailesh Bolisetti established his supremacy once more in the MRF Racing Challenge 2010 Super Saloons category by posting a comfortable victory today. In the Super Bikes category, racing sensation, David Jones once again showed a masterful display of skillful riding in winning hands down. In fact such was his dominance that he established a 16 second lead over the rest of the pack whilst lapping riders from 5th place onwards.
The Underbones race saw fast speeds and close action amongst the leaders. In the 115 cc a tough fight was witnessed between S. Padmanabhan, Naveen Raj and S Prakash. Eventually S Padmanabhan held on to win a close fought race with a few seconds separating Naveen and Prakash in second and third place separately.
The Underbones 135 cc race also saw excellent racing with Sarath Kumar coming in victorious. But it the margin of victory was narrow with M. Sudhakar coming in a very close second. Sumit Lucas Toppo of whom much was expected, came in third. However the day clearly belonged to young racing sensation David Jones who once again displayed awesome skills in winning his race in the Superbike category. His domination was total. Gavin Hunt hung on grimly to come in second place. Roger Maher however had to drop out due to a technical issue with his motorbike.
The action now shifts to the final round of the MRF Racing Challenge 2010 tomorrow, Sunday, February 14, 2010. There will several tight finishes tomorrow. The cynosure of all eyes will also be on Super Star Ajith who will race in the MRF Formula 1600 car. Narain Karthikeyan will be on hand to show some of his awesome skills on the MRF Formula 1600 car. During the lunch break, Shalini Singh and Karthik will entertain the crowd with some of their hit songs. All in all, a great Sunday to look forward too.
