Kia Carens in rolling

Kia Carens is a compelling family car option – here’s why!

Kia India had us surprised when they launched their all-new ‘Recreational Vehicle,’ the Kia Carens, at an introductory price of ₹8.99 lakh. Well, the price wasn’t the only thing that surprised us. The car was trying to show us it has what it takes to be a complete family car. So, does it? Read on to find out.

Space and Practicality

We Indians are suckers for space, and the Carens delivers on that need with six or seven-seat configurations. A family of 4 to 7 members can travel comfortably in the Carens. The Carens is also not skimpy on the room it offers in the third row. In fact, it happens to be one of the best cars in the segment to offer comfortable seating in the third row. The Carens is big on practicality too. Not only is the third row comfortable the one-touch tip and tumble seats make quick work of getting into the third row. The car also has ample space to store your water bottles and other knick-knacks, ensuring all the family members get to carry whatever they need for their journey. You also won’t find your family fighting for the USB port to charge their phones or tablets as the ports are not limited only to the front row. In terms of practicality, we get under-seat storage with a sliding tray, retractable cup-holders, large side door bins, two-tier storage inside the front armrest, folding armrest for the 2nd row.

Safety

When it comes to traveling with family, safety is paramount. Kia India has shown their dedication to making safer cars for India with the Carens. This made-in-India car is loaded with a host of safety equipment starting from the base variant. The Kia Carens safety kit includes six airbags, ESC, VSM, Hill Assist Control, Downhill Brake Assist, ABS, Brake Assis, all disc brakes, TPMS, and rear parking sensors. These are some of the best safety features in this segment, ensuring all your journeys in the Carens with your family are carried out with utmost safety.
