Measuring in at 4439x2060x1612mm The x1 has gotten taller and the lost a bit of length. The car now has the classic SUV silhouette and looks like a proper SUV, unlike its predecessor which looked more like a station wagon. The car now gets new paint options and It gets a new set of all LED headlamps as well.

BMW X1 Interior and Cabin Features

The BMW X1 has one of the most well put together cabins in its segment. The Quality of the materials used is excellent. Anyone who has been in the old X! will immediately notice that the seating position has changed and the diver now sits in a higher more commanding position with better visibility. The dashboard layout is like all other modern BMW cars. It gets an 8.8inch hi-res infotainment display with navigation and onboard music storage. The Msport variants have a much elaborate feature list which includes a panoramic sunroof, Heads up display and a sporty 3 spoke steering with paddle shifters.

The x1 comes with a host of safety features like Incorrect fueling protection system, Tyre Puncture Warning System (TPWS), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) comprising: Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Stability Control (ASC + T), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).

BMW X1 Engine & Performance

The BMW X1 is offered with 2 engine options in India. The first being a 2.0l turbocharged inline-4 diesel engine making 192ps at 4000rpm and 400nm at 1750rpm. The second engine options is a 2.0l turbocharged inline 4 making a similar 192ps at 5000rpm and 280nm at 1350rpm.

In terms of mileage, the petrol variants return 15.71km/l and the diesel variants return  20.68km/l
