The Audi Q7 Though a gigantic car has shrunk in size compared to its predecessor it is 5052 mm long, 1968 mm wide,1740 mm tall and has a wheelbase of  2994 mm. Although the car is big the Audi has the proportions and the car looks beautiful. In its latest rendition, the car gets Adaptive Matrix LED headlights, The front Grille has gotten a lot bigger and aggressive. overall, the new car has gotten a lot more straight and boxier following Audi's new design philosophy.

Audi Q7 Interior and Cabin Features

The Audi Q7 has one of the finest cabins in the segment and fit-finish and quality of materials used blows all other cars in the segment out of water. The quality of the interior is faultless and the car gets a lot of nifty features like the wireless charging pad for phones, Dual USB ports and in the centre of the dashboard sits the 7-inch infotainment system with navigation and apple car play and android auto. The MMI also works in conjunction with Audi's virtual cockpit system.

In terms of comfort, the Audi Q7 has one of the best cabins in the segment the seats are very plush and comfortable and are a very nice place to be in for long journeys. The rear seats can easily seat 3 people in comfort although the 3rd row is best suited for childer or can be stowed away to make the boot bigger.

Audi Q7 Engine & Performance

The Audi Q7 is Sold with 2 engines on offer. The first being a 2.0 TSFI 4 cylinder petrol engine making  251ps at 5000rpm and 370nm of torque right from 1600rpm. The second engine offered is a 3.0l TDI V6 Diesel churning out 248ps at 2910rpm and a ginormous 600nm of torque right from 1500rpm both engines come mated to an 8 speed ZF transmission.

In terms of mileage, the Audi has a few tricks up its sleeve. The Car disengages the clutch when the throttle is let off during cruise and the car is essentially coasting saving a lot of fuel. The petrol variants have a company claimed mileage of 11.68km/l and the diesel variants have a mileage of 14.75km/l which is very impressive for a car of this size

New Audi Q7 off-road (21)

The Audi Q7, in its first generation, started the bandwagon of a luxury SUV with 7 seats. While Mercedes retorted strongly with the GL-Class and BMW added a couple of extra seats to the X5, the Q7 was already filling coffers for Audi. So, much so that the Q7 was in service for more than a  decade, doing more field time than the average German (bug three) car’s product life cycle, which is 4-5 years.
