German auto giant Volkswagen has announced the pricing details for the UK-spec Scirocco facelift. The Volkswagen Scirocco facelift will be in showrooms across the UK by October.
Volkswagen had introduced this facelifted Scirocco months ago and now the model has reached the UK shores. The Volkswagen Scirocco facelift can be yours at a starting price of 20,445 GBP if you opt for the base model powered by a 125 PS 1.4 TSI engine. The model gets LED taillights as standard and for more money, the vehicle can be configured with bi-xenon headlights featuring LED daytime running lights.
For people who aren’t satisfied with the performance from the 1.4 TSI, Volkswagen is also offering a 2.0 TSI with 180 PS from 22,495 GBP. Also on offer are two 2.0 TDI motors churning out 150 PS (from 23,175 GBP) and 184 PS (from 26,025 GBP).
A mental 2.0 TSI pumping out a whopping 280 PS will be found under the hood of the Scirocco R (pictured here) which costs 32,295 GBP when equipped with the 6-speed manual and 33,795 GBP with the optional 6-speed DSG. The Scirocco R is also equipped with unique 19-inch Cadiz rims, R sport seats, DCC dynamic chassis control, 10mm lowered sports suspension as well as a color multi-function computer. All models in the range except the R now feature BlueMotion Technology modifications, meaning they come as standard with Stop/Start and also brake energy recuperation systems.
The car will be available in four trim levels : Scirocco, GT, R-Line and R. The entry level Scirocco comes with an RCD 510 touchscreen infotainment system with DAB digital radio with six-disc CD changer, SD card reader, MDI iPod and USB audio connectors and Bluetooth; air conditioning; automatic headlights and wipers; an auto-dimming rear view mirror; 17-inch ‘Long Beach’ alloy wheels height-adjustable sports seats; and a multifunction leather-covered steering wheel (with paddleshifts on DSG models).
