New Hero Xtreme launch soon! Images, Specifications and other details

You read it first on Motoroids India! The Hero Xtreme Sports, which was unveiled some months back and carries various updates over the current Xtreme, is close to entering the Indian bike market. The new bike, which will be called simply as the new Hero Xtreme, is already listed on Hero MotoCorp’s official website and we are in process of checking if the unofficial bookings for this model are open at the local Hero MotoCorp dealership. We reckon that the new Hero Xtreme launch will take place in just few days from now and here are some official images and specifications of the upcoming model.

The new Hero Xtreme sports a handful of visual updates that work together the bestow the aging model with a sense of freshness. Powering the ‘new Hero Xtreme is the same air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder, 149.2 cc engine that powers the current model. For the new model, the engine has a max power of 15.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The motor comes mated to five speed manual transmission and the suspension duties are from twin telescopic front forks and a set of five step adjustable gas charged rear shock absorbers. The new model rides on 18 inch five spoke mag wheels and has a 240 mm disc brake at front wheel and an optional 220 mm disc for the rear.
