RENDERING: Is this how the next gen 2016 Nissan GTR would look like?

The boffins at Topspeed have come up with a new speculative rendering of the next generation 2016 Nissan GTR.

The next gen ‘zilla has been envisioned using design cues seen on the recent concepts by the Japanese auto maker. As you can see in the end result above, the 2016 Nissan GTR is most likely to have an exterior styling that will be an evolved species of that of the current car. It would come with boomerang styled headlights and front grille that won’t be too dissimilar to that of the current model. The car will continue to sport twin rear taillamps, albeit in a sharper avatar. The car will also continue with featuring a ‘floating’ roof and a rear spoiler.

The GTR is easily among the most successful performance cars to have ever come from the renowned Japanese auto manufacturer and Regulars here would know that the ‘zilla is one of my personal favorites.

The next-gen GTR would could come with the car maker’s new “R-Hybrid” powertrain. The car’s hybrid powertrain could be similar to the one used in the Infiniti M35h and Infiniti Essence concept. The car could also come with a stop/start system and cylinder deactivation technology.

Stay tuned to Motoroids for more updates on the 2016 Nissan GTR.
